Maintenance Planning, Scheduling and Execution
for the Oil & Gas Industry
Key Strategies for Work Management

In today’s uncertain economic conditions oil and gas production facilities are challenged with trying to do more work with fewer resources more so than ever. Most oil and gas facilities achieve 25% to 30% labor productivity while world class is greater than 50%. A modest 30% improvement is like adding 3 men to a 10 man work force free.

Although Maintenance planning and scheduling has proven to be a challenge for most industries, and specifically oil and gas, it remains one of the most powerful ways to maximize productivity of resources, reduce costs, and improve safety and integrity of personnel and plant. This workshop will build on tried and proven approaches that have been refined in onshore and offshore installations around the world.

The workshop will cover the life cycle of a work order from the time it’s raised to the time it’s closed. Focus will be applied to the preparation of a work order including the creation of the "job pack," the scheduling process, and execution and job close out. Some of the benefits the participants will receive:

  • Understand why maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution is key to world class performance
  • Recognize the symptoms of a broken work management process
  • Learn the importance of creating an accurate work request
  • Learn the roles and responsibilities of the maintenance planner/scheduler
  • Find out different strategies and approaches for non-traditionally staffed facilities
  • Learn the key steps of field-based work preparation and planning
  • Discover two key elements of an effective job package
  • Understand the importance of capacity scheduling
  • Learn how to build weekly and daily schedules
  • Identify the key stakeholders and how to develop partnerships to maximize success
  • Find out the key metrics for measuring maintenance planning and scheduling effectiveness
  • Learn the importance of data quality and its significance to analyze and improve processes

These and many more proven concepts will be discussed during this highly interactive and informative 6 hour workshop. Reserve you place today.
